So let me show you the secret 14 step process that I use on every carpet we clean to make sure you receive the best clean while protecting what can be a very expensive asset (your carpet).

Step 1

Firstly our qualifed and experienced 0800tulips people will come to your house. We have a policy of being punctual so you won’t have to waste your valuable time waiting around. If one of our technicians ever has a problem they would always call to inform you. A no-show is not an option.

Step 2

All our team members are security cleared and vetted by the Ministry of Justice, which is another plus factor so you can leave your property to us with absolute peace of mind.

Step 3

We will request that you show us your house, so we are familiar with the set up before we start our work.

Step 4

Together we will discuss the details of the cleaning process. You have the opportunity to point out anything that will need special attention or that might be missed otherwise. That way, you get the very best service we can provide. Now we are ready to start. You have two options – stay home (although the machines maybe noisy) or go and enjoy coffee with friends.

Step 5

Next we will pre-vacuum the entire carpet (even if you have just vacuumed) as our machine will pick up things your vacuum cannot, such as deep dust, bugs, hair or faeces. Now … you may be wondering why we need to vacuum when we are about to clean the carpet. We believe it is better and easier to take the dirt out of the carpet when it is dry, compared to when it is wet. (Try it on the beach by removing the sand from a wet towel).

Step 6

Next we will perform a pre-spray. Our pre-spray is a mild-odour detergent, odour neutraliser and conditioner. This will leave the carpet moist, lift up any dirt that may have been hidden inside the
carpet pile and will soften stains. We leave this for a while on the carpet so the micro bubbles bring up the remaining contaminants.

Step 7

Then we will start our machine, fll it up with cold water, usually from your laundry, we require only cold water because our machines are equipped with an in-line heating system. This heats the water up to 95º C (192º F), Which is one point below your kettles boiling point.

Step 8

Now we start the actual cleaning, we use a wand which has 2-4 water jets, with a water pressure of 200-500psi, like a tiny water-blaster washing every pile of your carpet, it also agitates the carpet pile, washes and extracts, all at the same time so your carpet experiences the deepest most thorough clean possible.

Step 9

We continue to clean all of the rooms you have requested in this way leaving your carpets completely clean and fresh. You can walk on it instantly but it will be totally dry in just a few hours. The natural softness will come back in 2-3 days.

Step 10

Then we inspect any remaining stains, we contact you and ask you if you would like us to try to remove the stains, at a nominal extra cost. However, we fnd over 90% of stains are removed with normal general cleaning, with the correct formulation of water, detergents and the temperature of the water in the machine.

Step 11

Before leaving – we will place plastic coasters under the legs of your furniture, so no stains transfer to your freshly cleaned & moist carpets. Check it out now, you may fnd light brown or purple stains under your couch legs; this is caused by furniture being put back on moist carpet which enabled the legs of the furniture to rust and stain the carpet.

Step 12

We will cleanly and responsibly dispose of all dirty water either in the toilet or discreetly in the garden (never in your storm water drain). Usually cleaners sinks are available for this purpose in commercial buildings.

Step 13

Finally, we pack up our machines – tidy up and secure the property if the customer is not at home.
