Stain Treatment – DON’T PANIC

Carpet seems to be a magnet for all kinds of spills. Red wine, pet urine, blood, soft drinks, beetroot, beer, paint, nail polish, coffee, tea, ink, oil, grease… and so it goes on.
Our Philosophy when it comes to removing stains is that 90% of stubborn Carpet and Upholstery stains can or successfully treated with our simple hot water extraction method.

What we recommend:

  • The key is to act quickly. For most spills the first course of action is to scoop up any solid material, place on a kitchen paper towel to absorb excess liquid (blot only very gently) and then splash on cold water.
  • Even if this may seem to cause stain to spread you’re doing the right thing. Next place on more paper towels. Don’t push down as this can force whatever has been spilled into the carpet fibre.
  • Now leave it alone, and relax knowing that your quick action will stop the stain from setting. If it’s evening you can go to bed and not worry.
  • Our help desk is open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5 with Saturday 9 am to 1pm however we have a 24/7 dedicated message service.
  • NO excuse you can reach us regardless, pick up the phone and call us on 0800tulips.
  • We’ll advise you on what cleaning preparation to use. If it sounds extremely serious and damaging we’ll come to your place to appraise what can be done and the price.
